A very personal song about the truamatic time I had in high school and where it lead me. The vocal melody is actually the tune of our alma mater.

V1: I didn’t do the things you did
But chose to walk my way
Mocked for simply being me
My hope began to fade
How did your eyes look right through me
As though I were not there?
The loneliness I felt inside
Was near too much to bear.

V2: Many miles now separate us
We’ve each gone our own ways
The years may not have been tso kind
Our youth faded away
Sometimes we still come together
To reunite as friends
Then why do I feel like a stranger
On the outside looking in?

V3: I see a hawk boldly soaring
With grace across the sky
I should spread my wings just like him
But I’m terrified
For the Tiger every taunts me
Hoping that I’ll fail
