Cordelia
04:11
|
|||
V1: On those dirty city streets, her evils were well known
Running drugs & pimping girls all from her family home
Whatever ills she did, her kids would always see
She raised them to be like her--oh, what a tragedy
Chorus:
Cordelia--Why do you do the things you do?
Cordelia--Oh, you are the devil’s tool
Cordelia--You are wicked and profane
Cordelia--The streets all fear your name
V2: She locked horns with a local church for the works they did with kids
They were teaching them to follow Christ--not do what their folks did
It was cutting down her profits; her empire soon would fall
With a gun she confronted them and screamed she’d kill them all!!
Bridge:
That little church kept praying despite her rants and ravings
That God would change her heart
With the Holy Spirit’s power, she knew it was the hour
She prayed for a brand new start…

Watch Your Mouth
04:57
|
|||
PC1: Your unbridled tongue is the devil's tool
Because you speak with the wicked mouth of fools
Chorus:
Watch your mouth--So it can't drag others down
Tame your tongue--Keep it from running around
Watch your mouth--You sound like clanging bells
Tame your tongue--It's set on fire by Hell
V2: Let your words be seasoned with a dash of grace
Don't even let coarse joking fall outta your face
Build others up in what you say and do
Let love & kindness be the seeds that you strew
PC2: A gentle answer can turn away wrath
Don't let your tongue lead you down dark paths!

I'm Such A Fool
04:08
|
|||
CHORUS:
I’m such a fool--oh, I’m such a fool
Why did I ever, ever listen to you?
You lead me astray ‘til I’ve lost my way
I’m such a fool; oh, I’m such a fool!
V1: I seem to do wrong when I want to do right
I beg for forgiveness on my bed every night
Then I fall again with each waking breath
Who is gonna save me from this body of death?
V2: A War is raging so deep down inside
My flesh and my spirit are like Jekyll and Hyde
I read God’s word; my heart burns like a fire
But soon I’m dragged away by my selfish desires
Bridge:
I live like a pauper; but I’m a child of the King!
I enslave myself to the stupidest things
The world’s way is wrong; but it looks so cool
I walk the devil’s highway ‘cause I’m such a fool!

Gotta Get Away
03:39
|
|||
V1: Why are these people always pulling at me?
Why can’t they just leave me be?
They’re always whining & draggin’ me down
Their voices mix in a grating sound
They are so needy--always needing more
I give & give ‘til life’s just a chore
I want to run; I want to escape
Can’t take much more ‘cause my nerves are frayed!
PC1: I get so tired and frustrated
When I get overstimulated!
Chorus:
I gotta get away from this rat race
I gotta get away from this fast pace
I gotta get away--am I trapped in a cage?
Gotta get away before I break!
V2: I need some quiet just to clear my head
I’m always anxious & full of dread
I need a bit of time alone
So I’m chill when my wife gets home
Sometimes I steal away so I can pray
The Lord helps me to find my way
I seek His peace for my weary soul
To lift me up when life takes it’s toll.
PC2:
Call me anti-social or a little spacy
It’s what I need to keep from going crazy!

V1: He was taunted when he was a child
His resentment grew and grew
He didn’t trust anyone he met
The friends he kept were very few
He learned to hate those who did him wrong
Payback was something they would need
He began to plan just what he would do
Vengeance born from that dark seed
PC1: His hatred grew until he’d come unhinged
He’d plot and plan until he got revenge!
Chorus:
Murder begins in the heart!
Murder begins in the heart!
V2: He took a job cleaning up that school
Where he went as a child
Everyone made fun of him
It was clear he was reviled
He set bombs in places
Only janitors would know
The day would come when he’d had enough
He’d show them all when it would blow!
PC2: They would see the carnage as it was covered live
They’d hear the tale of his living Hell as their children died!
PC3: Could this have been prevented when he was just a kid?
What if someone took the time to call this tortured soul a friend?

Alma Mater
04:26
|
|||
V1: I didn’t do the things you did
But chose to walk my way
Mocked for simply being me
My hope began to fade
How did your eyes look right through me
As though I were not there?
The loneliness I felt inside
Was near too much to bear.
V2: Many miles now separate us
We’ve each gone our own ways
The years may not have been tso kind
Our youth faded away
Sometimes we still come together
To reunite as friends
Then why do I feel like a stranger
On the outside looking in?
V3: I see a hawk boldly soaring
With grace across the sky
I should spread my wings just like him
But I’m terrified
For the Tiger every taunts me
Hoping that I’ll fail
Lord, help me be free from fear
Release me from this jail.
Holy Father, be my watchward
Honor and prevail
May Heaven be my Alma Mater
Jesus, all hail!

Storytime In America
04:03
|
|||
V1: We’ve got fake news on the tv screen
Telling us what we can say and think
The powers that be fear the thinking man
Indoctrination is the master plan
They ban our books and rewrite history
Chipping away at our freedom of speech
The evening news sells the Leftist’s lies
Until we’ve all been desensitized!
Chorus:
It’s Storytime…..in America
Storytime…..in America
The truth has fallen in our streets
We’ve ground it to dust beneath our feet
‘Cause it’s storytime…..in America!
V2: They want to attack our precious faith
Screaming “Wrong is right!” Oh, what a disgrace!
They’ll sue us all if we make a stand
That a woman’s born a woman and a man’s born a man
They silence truth with their over-reach
And label us all if we dare to preach
“There’s one way to God; all else is sin.”
We’ve got to live for Him--not be pleasers of men!

Kill The Cobra
03:58
|
|||
V1: He tempted Eve in the garden
The serpent fed her a pack of lies
He twisted up what God had spoken
With a silver tongue, he hypnotized
They ate the fruit and eyes were opened
Their nakedness and shame they could not hide
So God removed them from His presence
The fate of that snake was prophesied.
PC1: “He will crush your head, but you will strike His heel.”
Under God’s own judgment; in pain, Satan will squeal!
CHORUS:
Kill, kill, kill….kill the Cobra
He’s gonna stomp, stomp, stomp on the head of that craft beast
Kill, kill, kill….kill the Cobra
He’s gonna crack, crack, crack the skill of our enemy
V2: They came for Him while in the Garden
He prayed for that cup to pass away
Then brought by force to the elders
They beat Him for the Words of Life He spake
Sentenced to die on Calvry’s mountain
They nailed Him upon that splintered tree
The blood poured out like a fountain
To pay the price of sin for you and me.
PC2: Salvation had been bought for all who would believe
From the clutches of sin and death, mankind could be free!
PC3: Satan was defeated by Christ’s sacrifice
Into the Lake of Fire, he’ll go for his trickery and lies

The Congregation
04:24
|
|||
V1: They show up early for coffee & a smile
And pretend to love each other for a little while
They’ll sing some pretty songs--hear a sermon, too
And never move an inch until the invitation’s through.
Chorus:
They were D.O.A.; had no feeling inside
Their faces held a plastic smile--no life in their eyes
Giving up an hour just to warm those pews
But the Spirit had departed--their candlestick removed
The congregation
V2: They never offer help when someone’s in need
And argue about what translation to read
They’ll condemn your sin without tending their own
And wonder why the neighborhood chooses to stay at home
Bridge:
Then one sad day, Bro. Johnson died
A sudden heart attack took him by surprise
They gathered at the church like so many times before
To say their last farewell to a friend they’d see no more
The preacher cleared his throat but never shed a tear
And said, “This corpse has been a member here for 50 years!”
Not knowing that no truer words could ever have been said
Unable in their blindness to see that they were dead…

We're Gonna Rock
04:00
|
|||
V1: Flip on the lights--it’s time to play
Feel the power from the amps as we hit the stage
There’s so much noise as the crowd roars
Excitement grows ‘cause they can’t wait anymore!
PC: You want to rock and we came to roll
We’ll move your feet and stir your soul
CHORUS:
We’re gonna rock--gonna rock you all night long
We’re gonna rock--gonna shock you as we play this song
We’re gonna rock--gonna rock you all night long
We’re gonna rock--gonna roll you ‘til you sing along
V2: The drums are loud like crashing waves
The thunder you feel is our pounding bass
With loud guitars, we’ll take control
And everyone will know that they’ve been to a show!
Bridge:
Can you feel the power?
Are you ready to go wild?
This is the hour
For the inmates to get riled!
